The Language Ambassadors program collaborated with the World Language Poetry Showcase to explore the beautiful world of poetry. We conducted our first ever virtual 'World Languages Poetry Showcase on April 14th, 2022. High school students from Soquel High and Pacific Collegiate School came together to recite poetry in Spanish and Chinese. Students also submitted videos of their poems for the website.  Soquel High students  composed poems about their mothers and important women in their lives, immigration, exploring their identity and image of women in the society, domestic violence and many other important topics. These powerful poems reflect the voice of the youth; thoughts, opinions and emotions. PCS students recited poems by famous Chinese poet Hai Zi and 11th century poet Su Shi . They explore deep topics about life, loss  and aspirations.
