Race card project
Anne Cappiello's Heritage Speakers 4 class participated in the Race Card Project, which required students to write a 6-word sentence about their thoughts on race. Students wrote a paragraph that explained their 6-word essays. They included powerful reminders about why having intentional and meaningful discussion around race is so important.
Ms. Cappiello's students made padlets based on their unit on Afrolatinidad and the reduction of inequalities. Here they explore how they can promote inclusivity in our communities, guaranteeing a dignified life for all and opening the dialogue between them and their readers.
